Up with People (UWP) provides a global education that lasts a lifetime. We aim to change the hearts and minds of participants, preparing them to embrace their roles and responsibilities as global citizens. Our unique program offers truly rare access to opportunities that develop and refine leadership skills and are beneficial to any career or life path.

- Additional skills that enable them to work effectively with those from other nationalities, cultures and points-of-view.
Program Cost
Up with People offers an affordable, comprehensive, unique way to explore the world. Our program begins twice each year, in January and July, and students have the option of traveling for one or two semesters.
The program fee for July 2012 is $16,950 USD for one semester or $24,950 USD for two semesters/year option, when the deposit is paid in advance. These fees cover a portion of the actual program cost, with the remainder funded by generous grants, donations and scholarships.
The optional academic program delivered in collaboration with our academic partner, Florida Southern College, is an additional $950 per semester. For more information about this new curriculum option beginning in July 2012, click here.
Your worthwhile investment covers:
- Training Costs
- Program Materials
- Entrance Fees for required tours, special events, etc.
- Accommodations
- Meals
- All group transportation from the time of arrival in Denver, Colorado, USA, to the final point of the tour, and
- Services provided by our full-time staff and facilitators who travel with each student group throughout the year.
Your program fee does not cover:
- Your transportation to Denver, Colorado, USA, at the start of the program, or your trip home at your tour’s conclusion
- Passport, Visa, international health insurance or medical costs, or
- Other private expenses such as phone charges, internet costs, toiletries, souvenirs, and other personal items.
Scholarships
Scholarships and innovative fundraising ideas may help cover your program fee. Past UWP students have used unique approaches to fundraising including:
- Approaching service clubs, businesses and others in their community for scholarships
- Hosting benefit dinners, monster yard sales, and sponsor-a-day campaigns, and
- Creating a blog, website or e-campaign.
Partial scholarships may be available to qualified candidates and are granted to participants based upon:
- Demonstrated financial need
- Efforts to raise the program fee investment, and
- Contribution to UWP’s goal of creating a balanced, diverse experience for each tour.
