Hawai'i Pacific University in Honolulu, HI and Carroll University in Waukesha, WI and Western New England College in Springfield, MA are all partner schools with UWP. Students participating in Up with People may earn 16-29 academic credits for their experience in our program. Partner universities award their specific academic credit in the form of equivalent course (e.g. Communications 201) or a semester's worth of credit for the comprehensive 5 1/2-month Up with People semester. Up with People has benefited from these partnerships through an outstanding student base. In turn, alumni have gone on to attend both undergraduate and graduate levels of study, employing their international education and leadership experiences with Up with People.

Over the years, many educational institutions have given Up with People alumni credit for the hands-on learning that takes place in the Up with People program. Since UWP does not have prearranged agreements with all universities, independent studies should be arranged by the individual student with their academic advisor at his/her school.
