Program Fee
Up with People offers the global education of a lifetime... and for a lifetime. Today's leading schools and employers are looking for people with a global perspective; people who have the skills to work effectively with those from other nationalities, cultures and points-of-view. Our program is a transforming experience that changes the hearts and minds of its participants – and everyone they encounter along their journey.
UWP offers flexible options to fit your schedule and
budget. With programs beginning twice each year and the option of touring
for either one or two semesters, we offer an affordable, comprehensive
way to explore the world. The Up with People program fee represents only a portion of our tour operating costs and is a worthwhile investment in your future.
Program Fee
The July 2010 Up with People program fee is currently $14,250 USD for the one-semester program or $19,800 USD for the full-year option.**
This worthwhile investment covers all training costs, materials, entrance fees, lodging, meals and all group transportation from the time of arrival in Denver to the final point of the tour. The program fee also covers the services of our full-time staff facilitators that travel with the cast throughout the tour. These fees are subject to change and may vary for each program start date due to changing economic conditions.
Participant fees currently cover approximately 30% of the total costs
associated with making the program possible, with the remaining
expenses paid for by the generosity of grants, donations, sponsorships,
and other sources of funding. Please contact an Admissions Counselor

Personal Expenses
Participants are responsible for arranging and paying for their own transportation to Denver, Colorado, U.S.A. at the start of the program and the return trip to their home city at the program's conclusion. Other costs that each participant should budget for include passport and visa expenses, international health insurance, medical care and personal expenses (such as cell phones or phone calls, postage, internet, personal show costume, health and beauty items, etc).
Financing Your Program
In addition to personal and family finances, participants find a variety of ways to pay for their Up with People global experience. Many participants approach service clubs, businesses and others in their community for sponsorships; others raise funds through benefit dinners, monster yard sales, sponsor-a-day campaigns and by creating their own blogs, websites and e-campaigns. We have hundreds of unique ideas for financing your program - successful, creative efforts that our alumni have used in the past.

Those in need of financial assistance are encouraged to pursue a variety of scholarship opportunities available to them. Some scholarships are based on need; others on merit and other considerations.
Up with People Financial Aid
Partial financial aid may be available to qualified candidates and
is awarded to participants based on demonstrated financial need, efforts
to raise the program fee investment and the goals of Up with People
to create a balanced, diverse experience for each tour. If available,
financial assistance may vary from a few hundred dollars to several
thousand dollars and may be in the form of discounts, scholarships
and/or merit awards.
Upon acceptance into the Up with People program,
you will receive further information on financial aid and fundraising
ideas. Financial Aid applications are available approximately six
months prior to the start date of each program. The UWP Financial Aid
Committee will review applications and notify applicants of any award in
the months prior to each tour.
