Community Impact Projects
Making a Difference through your Sponsorship
A benefit offered to our sponsoring companies or organizations is the right to select local non-profit, NGO, civic or community organization(s) to be named as the beneficiary of Up with People’s stay in a community. Together, your company or organization and Up with People will collaborate to make a long-lasting impact in YOUR community. All around the world we are known for getting involved in communities – and getting communities involved!
Selected local organizations receive hundreds of hours of community service through projects delivered by Up with People students and staff. We aim to shine the light on the work of local organizations and raise awareness among community members so that local support continues long after our visit.
Examples of community impact projects include:
- Community food banks
- Elderly care and awareness programs
- Education-related projects
- Environmental and conservation projects
- Performing arts, cultural diversity and cultural awareness workshops
- Local school programs featuring Stand for Peace, UWP’s signature program for elementary and middle schools
