The City Government and Mayor Hagedorn are bringing Up with People, a multinational group of 100 young people representing 20 countries, to the City of Puerto Princesa from November 16-22. The main goal is to celebrate Puerto Princesa Underground River, likely to soon become one of the New 7 Wonders of Nature, as well as to promote international understanding, one of the main advocacies of Up with People over its 46 years. Throughout their stay the group will live with local host families, engage in diverse community projects and perform their international benefit concert, “A Song for the World”, at the City Coliseum on Saturday, November 19 at 7pm. No tickets will be sold, only a donation is asked of any of the following: a kilo of rice, non-perishable foods, new or used toys, or an item of clothing – all benefiting Eusebia Palomino Learning Center. The group will be giving out the donations the following day together with the City Government of Puerto Princesa. For more information and interview opportunities, please contact:
